I am an artist living in the Tyne Valley.  I have always loved to paint, draw and be creative.  For almost 20 years I taught in Primary schools and one of the highlights was teaching children how to be artists.  Now I have decided to follow this career path more fully, taking inspiration from the world around me.  Northumberland, Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway feature a lot in my work.  The River Tyne is my favourite haunt and I love to see how the landscape, flora and fauna change with the seasons. I paint with watercolours mostly, although I also use gouache, acrylic, oil and watercolour pigment powder.
